Jocelyn Lee, DDS, MSD

Dr. Lee is excited to share her passion as a pediatric dentist in this office. She is known for her patience and compassion. Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing quality care in a friendly and fun environment for children of all ages. Her goal is to make a dental visit the highlight of each child’s day!

Dr. Lee grew up in the East Bay. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Psychology from the University of California, Davis. At the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, she earned her D.D.S. and received many honors and awards. Upon graduation from the dental school, she went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto where she received advanced training in treating medically compromised patients.

Dr. Lee practiced as a general dentist for many years, serving both the adult and child population in the Peninsula, East and South San Francisco Bay Area. It was while she was practicing in a pediatric dental office that she discovered her passion for working with children. She decided to pursue the pediatric specialty training and received the Master of Science in Dentistry degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. After her training, Dr. Lee joined as a part-time faculty at University of Pacific School of Dentistry. She was also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the prestigious UCSF School of Dentistry in the Department of Orofacial Sciences, helping to train future dentists. Furthermore, Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and was recognized as a Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award recipient for performing among the top 3% of pediatric dentists nationally.

Dr. Lee is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and California Dental Association. She has been actively participating in numerous community services and also volunteered in a dental mission trip to Mexico. Dr. Lee is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Amy Chen, DDS, MS

Dr. Chen loves practicing pediatric dentistry and working with kids. She spent her childhood years in the east coast and later moved to the San Francisco bay area where she majored in Molecular & Cell Biology at University of California, Berkeley. While at UC Berkeley she devoted her time volunteering as a hepatitis counselor and dental assistant for the non-profit Berkeley Free Clinic. Her interest in dentistry led her to attend University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry where she received her D.D.S. She was awarded the Ethics and Professionalism Award by the San Francisco Dental Society (SFDS).

While at UCSF, Dr. Chen developed a passion working with kids and pursued a postgraduate residency in pediatric dentistry, receiving her specialty certificate and M.S. in Oral & Craniofacial Sciences. She was also named finalist for the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry (CSPD) Graduate Student Research Award (GSRA) for her research in dental cariology and caries prevention.

Dr. Chen is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS), CSPD and SFDS. Her interests include dental cariology and dental public health.

Dr. Chen spends much of her free time with her family and friends in the bay area. She enjoys reading, writing, running, playing tennis and traveling. She fluent in Mandarin and can speak some Taiwanese.

Leland Grant, DDS

Dr. Grant began his journey towards a successful career in pediatric dentistry at the University of California, Santa Cruz. There he met a classmate who first piqued his interest in the field of dentistry. Upon graduating from U.C. Santa Cruz with college honors, he went on to study at Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York. After receiving his dental degree, he spent one year in the general practice residency program at Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital and Charles R. Drew Postgraduate Medical School. He then trained 2 additional years in the pediatric dentistry program through MLK Hospital and UCLA. He received his certificate in pediatric dentistry in 1980. Dr. Grant practiced in the Los Angeles area for one year before moving north to begin his practice in Union City. In addition to his formal education, he has received invaluable training for his career through his duties as a father to 3 children and grandfather to 3 children.

Dr. Grant is an active and life member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. He served for many years on the board of directors of the Southern Alameda County Dental Society and the California Society of Dentistry for Children. In the past, he has been on the staff at both Washington and St. Rose Hospitals.

He has volunteered his time at the Silva Pediatric Clinic, Southern Alameda Headstart Program and through CDA Cares.
